New Bible Study Group Starting
Are you looking for an opportunity to dive deeper into scripture, to wrestle with what Jesus is saying and what it means for our lives? The "Going Deeper" Bible Study Group might just be right for you. Each Sunday, starting next Sunday, August 16, this Bible Study group, led by Pastor Joe, will dive deeper into that Sunday's scripture readings to explore more of the history, meaning, nuance, calling, and challenge present in the texts. The Bible Study will meet in the fellowship hall and will run roughly from 11:00am - 11:50am. No registration is needed, and yes, coffee will be provided.
Calling All Youth: Aug 23 – Blessing of the Backpacks
We invite all youth to bring a school bag to be blessed during the worship service on August 23. Every child will receive a keychain keepsake to remind them of the love of God, the presence of Christ, and the prayers of this congregation. In this way we pray every child never feels like they walk alone.
Confirmation Class Forming
Youth, entering 8th grade and older, are welcome to explore Bausman’s confirmation program by participating in this fall’s Confirmation Exploration Gathering. The gathering will be held the first week of October, with the specific date and time scheduled based upon registered participant availability. During the Exploration Gathering you will learn about this transformative program, deepen your understanding of the meaning and purpose of confirmation, learn about the new mission trip class experience, receive answers to your questions, and establish the date and times for upcoming confirmation classes. Contact Pastor Joe by September 27 to participate in this one-hour exploration gathering.
Outdoor Worship & Church Picnic – September 13
Mark your calendars for the September 13 outdoor worship and picnic held at the Wyomissing Hills Playground, 53 Valley Rd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. The Worship & Music Committee will provide fried chicken. Members are asked to bring a salad, non-salad side dishes, or dessert (further guidance will be provided in the September newsletter). This is great event that continually builds deepened relationships year after year. We look forward to seeing you there!
